Pneumatic Press / Production Tooling
Pneumatic Stamping Press with Aluminum Extrusion Frame and CNC Fixture
Compact pneumatic stamping press designed from T-slot aluminum extrusion profiles, plastic side plates, a pneumatic actuator, and a CNC-machined holding fixture.
Engineering challenge
The client needed a compact machine for a stamping operation. The press had to be simple to manufacture and assemble, using standard aluminum extrusion profiles where possible. The machine also needed custom side plates and a CNC-machined fixture to hold the part accurately during the stamping process.
Design approach
Guenzo designed the full pneumatic press assembly in CAD. The machine structure used T-slot aluminum extrusion profiles for modularity and easy assembly. The design included a pneumatic actuator, mounting plates, side plates, fixture location features, fastening points, and a custom CNC-machined holding fixture. The layout focused on practical access for setup, part loading, maintenance, and component sourcing.
Manufacturing considerations
The design was made for a mix of standard and custom-manufactured parts. Standard aluminum extrusion profiles reduced fabrication complexity, while CNC-machined components were used where accuracy was required. Plastic side plates were included for enclosure, protection, and clean machine structure.
